Shooting my 1940 '237' Mauser 98k. After about 20-25 shots the gun's on fire in your hands and your shoulder is sore!

  • I know what you mean about the gun on fire. After about 80 rounds you could see the finish on the wood boiling and I had to wipe some of it off. I was terrified the foam in the gun case was going to melt and stick to the rifle on the way home.

  • i got a s/42 1937 k98 and theres no recoil to the thing i shot about 100 rounds once and my sholde felt fine.

  • It really is a beautiful rifle. I bought a 1942 model a couple of months ago and it is fast becoming my favorite thing to shoot.
