  • @bluemoonrising26 I understand. With all proper respect to you, there are more than 3 types of American accents. I understand you aren't aware of them, just as we aren't aware of so many varieties of Yorks, London, Welsh, etc. accents. Besides Southern (there are many types, subtly different), New York, and rest-of-USA, there's a Boston accent, various midwestern accents, Valley Girl/surfer dude California accents, & many others. I find language fascinating!

I don't know really. They're certainly not regarded in the same way as ours are in America. Sometimes they can be very attractive in women, at others quite a 'turn-off', if I may use such a phrase. In men, I find the accent always makes them sound as if they're being condescending! I'm not sure how much variety there is in the American accent, as we only really know of three types - the Southern accent, the New York accent and the generic 'rest-of-the-USA' accent.

  • @bluemoonrising26 Thanks for explaining about Lena's accent. I'm American. We love foreign accents. It's an aphrodisiac, we'll do anything for you, haha. By the way, does anyone like American accents, or are we the laughingstock of the world? Once I ordered beer in Madrid, in Spanish, and the bartender said in a mocking, nasal tone: "You want a beeeeer?" I said "no, quiero una cerveza." He was not amused. Oh, and I couldn't agree more about these new profile layouts!

  • @7trueblue7

It's a bit like a posh Yorkshire accent. She lived in Huddersfield (West Yorks.), I believe, but the pressure on actresses to adopt a more London-like accent has obviously had an influence. It now sounds more like a Harrogate accent (North Yorks.)

Are you American? Canadian? Aussie? These new profile layouts, honestly... XD

  • @SyrenniaLestrange She would have had a team focused on making her look better in the movie

  • How in the hell does she look prettier in 300 than outside of the film?

  • @7trueblue7 Aww thank you, you're awesome too! It's that eyebrow thing she does that jsut get's me every time, glad you noticed it too (:

  • @fallingxxforxxyou Wow, 4 years ago you commented about lena, and it still rings true today! the eyebrow, the gorgeous smile, u r so right ... and let's not forget the soft, lovely voice and the accent. i luv lena, and u r awesome too!

  • Her accent and tone of voice are beautiful. What type of British accent does she have, does anyone know? I read that she was born in Bermuda (I think), lived as a child in Yorkshire, then as a teen moved to London. There are so many British accents, does anyone know? Whatever ... it's very sexy and ... wow.

  • 0:38 is me after playing basketball in the backyard...
