[SUB-EN] Creationist Cowards Diss Darwin (2/2)

So Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron of The way of the Master have again chosen to let their actions speak to the worth of character that their religion instills. In their latest publicity stunt they have decided to take a book written 150 years ago by Charles Darwin and put in the front a 50 page introduction, a significant portion of which is devoted to bad mouthing the dead.

Yup thats right, apparently dissing the dead is now fair game if you are a creationist.

Unfortunately they havent realized that this is utterly independent of whether evolution is correct or not. The only take home message just how cheap creationists are willing to go to attack science they dont understand.

To my mind there is only one appropriate response, and thats to basically call them on their socially reprehensible behavior:- maybe we need a modified bible to explain simple decency and logic to such folk.

So far, Ray, Kirk, Ken Ham n co have shown a masterly reluctance to present a scientific case, and claim that this is due to some persecution. Well okays fellas, you are formally invited to present your case on one of the more open and public forums of our time. Here on youtube.

I had to put this video together on the road, and in some haste, so please forgive the sound, and some of the production shortcomings.

we became angry cause we are human, no every atheist its supposed to know how to debate or make a good statement or whatever, the same can be applied for religius guys who are sarcastic and so on, also if we like to give names and to quote or give argouments with name calling, thats how some people try to convence with evidence to others. you probably knew that, anyway looks like you belive in somkind of higher god, than the biblic one, but is still your creation/construction.

The name calling goes both ways, but to be honest some of the worst comes from the believer side. You should have a look at TheUgly comments section of Richard Dawkins website. I try to maintain a civil discussion and you sound like the sort of person I could have a rational; discussion with. It's hard to be nice when people consider me the spawn of satan, and tell me that it is right that I as a disbeliever should burn in hell forever. That puts a real tailspin on the conversation.

I don't dispute the existence of wisdom. and I am glad that you have looked beyond the christian bible to find it, because there is precious little in it that isn;'t already obvious to a moral human. Most people use the metaphor of God to get in touch with the perfect person within them. I think of it as giving a personality to their conscience. As an atheist the only difference is that I don't give that side of my personality a separate identity, address and backstory.

It's easy to verify a logical argument.

I am NOT defending Cameron & Comfort, but people need to look beyond what's text book and rational.

My perspective of God is an infinite source from within, related to a Buddhist's perspective. I opened up to it by opening up to wisdom, not facts.

99% of skeptics/atheists ask me to "prove it." If they'd only step back and realize the absurdity of proving wisdom. It's like trying to get me to prove to you I had a great orgasm. WTF?

I'm not saying this in support of Cameron & Comfort, but I notice that atheists/skeptics tend to make their arguments with a lot of name-calling, sarcasm, anger, etc. If they were so certain of their position, they wouldn't need to constantly throw temper tantrums.

Same thing with conservative Republicans. I recently made a level-headed, nonjudgmental comment to a Limbaugh lover and WOW did he attack me!!!! I didn't say ONE THING negative about his Lord & Master, but he instantly went off!!

Is the 45 minute Living Waters edit of the Comfort/ Thunderfoot interview available? There was barely 45 seconds of this interview in which comfort made any correct statements, and that was when he was agreeing with thunderfoot.
