To all Christians....when you became "born again"...were you crying? Ask yourself "why?"

Here I compare the emotional trip one takes to accept a religion vs the logical journey towards atheism.

  • When one makes a emotional decision, it doesn't mean it wasn't also a logical one. When one is say faced with having to pull the plug on a loved one in the hospital... its emotional, but also logic based. To say the two are completely seperate is just silly. To say one can't be tied with the other is not correct.

There are no happy tears in a chuch... presumptuous again. Your butt by the way.. classy.

  • @FuzzyBunnyCursing I'll agree that a decision can carry both emotions and logic...but one typically dominates the other. It's an emotional decision to feed the homeless. Logic dictates that we are all better if we do that. But it's a logical decision not to give the wino money even though he SAYS he wants it for food...but we know what he will do with it.

However, emotion is practically NONEXISTENT in my decision to not be religious and it was OVERWHELMING in my earlier decision TO be.

  • What in your entire life do you not have a an emotion for. You obviously have a huge belief in the fact that there is no god that you decide to sit at your home and make little movies about them. you seem to be very passionate about how you feel, which is an emotion.

  • which has NOTHING to do with why I DECIDED LOGICALLY that it was the correct position. I think you missed what I was talking about. Watch the reply video I made to this one...perhaps it will clear it up.

  • it is your own opinion but when someone in you family dies just like jesus died it is going to attack your emotions

  • yes, if someone dies, I will feel emotions associated with the loss...

It will not change my thought process or view of the world...what exactly are you trying to get at?

  • my thoughts come befor my emotions probly why im a Athiest

  • @KingHeathen

I consider Myself an Agnostic Pagan King.

Like and Agnostic Atheist, but on the opposite side of things.

Agnostic seems to simply mean being able to say "I have no Fucking Clue, and that's alright."

  • This is a good video, you make excellent points. Could you change the lighting in future videos, though? The gold skin and darkness makes you look like the guy from Apocolopse Now.

  • @TheOptimistPrime I find it interesting how you've compartmentalized your own narrow view of atheists and theists while touting this "open-mindedness" that you are so proud of. I know many atheists that are extremely open-minded however understand that the definition of "atheist" simply means that you do not ACTIVELY believe in any gods. Agnostics are therefore also atheists. Only those that DO believe in a god are not...and they too are sometimes open-minded and not always proselytizing.

  • I find myself drawn by logic AND emotion. I have an astonishing ability to believe in something, and accept it, while doubting it. Similarly, when it comes to what I "Disbelieve", I'll find myself wondering. "Hmm What if it's true? Maybe it could be."

WEIRDEST of ALL!: I find myself able to agree with two opposing ideas, and change my beliefs in an instant on some things.... I think my brain waves are fucked to be honest. XD

  • You are the second Atheist, You Tube Author that I have watched today, whom has not used personal attacks.

I am a "Left Wing Nut Job", and I'm very passionate about the political views that I hold. That in no way means that I came to my political beliefs using emotion. It just means that I feel strongly about them, regardless of how I came to my conclusions.

Critical thinking is my most valuable capability. I would love to share it with other like minded individuals. My ICQ# is 646262283
