This is a different version of the Subaru video comparing the Tial 50mm BOV with the Synapse Synchronic SB001 BOV. Test vehicle is a Subaru WRX with Garrett GT30R, external wastegate and running 20 psi of boost.

That stupid flutter sound is air being forced back into the turbo due to lack of a BOV / blocked BOV / cheap shitty BOV. Air flowing backwards through the turbo = total loss of boost between gear changes = shitty performance and strained turbo. Having a BOV allows the turbo to keep spinning b/w gear changes, which maintains boost and leaves the flutter poser with his compressor stall eating your dust.
It sucks how so many idiots who drive performance cars don't understand basic fluid mechanics.

@Frittrich What you hear are the straight cut gears whining when he gets out and into the throttle. That is not a Blow off, or bypass valve you hear.

I sounds better without the BOV... And you are ruining your turbocharger by doing that. It is not set properly. Its not supposed to flutter like that. Its surging.
