  • @4theonly1God Cool little synth riff...any analog or VA synth will be able to pull that off. The synth used in that particular track sounds a little bit more crisp and clean than the JX8P (which is generally fat and warm and full or resonances)...but it'll work out great and sound fantastic! (just a little different).

  • @UnchainTheNight1 M Audio makes a MIDI/USB interface for, I think around $40 or so. That'd probably be your best bet. Another option would be one of those M Audio (or similar) sound cards with the breakout cable that has MIDI ends, but those start out at around $100.

  • Nice.!!! You think i'll be able to pull something like the beat at the beggining of this youtube video: Latin Freestyle S-Factor - Hard To Get (RARE!!!) by albystyle; with the Roland JX-8P?

  • Your patches are so amazing in all your videos. You really know how to push synths...I'm sure you could convince me to buy a microKorg :P

  • Wow - you make really great demo's Olo - thanx!!

  • it's not at all that tedious without the programmer, seriously.

You want tedious? try programming a dx-7.

  • My favorite part about this synth is that the PG-800 (the controller) costs more than the actual synth itself! all that aside this is an amazing synth, and the man in the video, whom im not sure is real or not, is also amazing, and he is polish which proves that polish people are amazing as well...polish people love synths!

  • um, your videos are amazing. all of them. and your playing is incredible. you could sell me any synthesizer. you could probably squeeze a dying cat and make it sound incredible.

  • ok, do i use like a midi-usb cable or something to connect the pc to the synth?

  • I used a software emulation of the programmer, google PC-JX8P.
