@TerryNoble when I first started supporting Manly from end of 1973, I listened to Frank Hyde call games on radio on 2SM. He played the theme songs from both teams before the game and this was the Manly song he played. It was also released on record in 1974 (as were all the team songs). Not sure when it was first used but you can hear it at the end of the 1972 Grand Final Post Match and 1976 Grand Final videos on my channel. Can't remember when they stopped using it - maybe 80s or 90s?

im a Souths boy but grew up on the beaches and prob been to more games at Brooky than most as just LOVE LEEEEEAAGUE. anyway i @#$%en hate Eagle Rock and the new ground announcer thieves a lot more than Goldman ever did. re 40-nil we went to and from game in stretch hummer stop the fight.
