Miley: A month?
Billy: Miles, I'm so sorry.
Miley: *turns away* You should be. I'm always the one taking care of everyone! I can't even act like a normal teenager, cause I'm always worrying about Dustin, or the laundry, or if dinner is ready! It's not fair that I have to be an adult when I'm only 17!
Billy: I know, baby girl. *hugs her* I'm truly sorry. As soon as I get back, I'll talk to your mom, I promise.
Miley: Just get out of my room. *points out the door*
Billy: But Mil-*gets cut off*
Miley: OUT! *pushes him out and slams the door* *starts crying* *picks up her phone and calls Joe*
Joe: *picks up* Hello?
Miley: *sniffles* Joe?
Joe: Miley? What's wrong? *concerned*
Miley: I need you to come over here. Now.
Joe: I'll be right there, I just gotta start up my Harley. Okay?
Miley: Thanks Joe.
Joe: Anything for you. I'll see you in a few. Bye.
Miley: Bye. *hangs up and cuddles up into her blankets*
(a few minutes later)
Joe: *knocks on the door* Miley?
Miley: *gets up and opens the door*
Joe: Oh Miley. *takes her in his arms* You're usually not the one to cry. What happened?
Miley: *sobs into his jacket* My dad's leaving on a business trip for a month.
Joe: And you have to deal with the house and your mom and your brother even more?
Miley: *nods*
Joe: Come on, go take a nice warm bath and change into your warmest PJs, I'll be waiting here, okay?
Miley: *nods and goes into the bathroom*
(a few minutes later)
Miley: *comes out of the bathroom in her PJs*
Joe: Now lay down and try to fall asleep, okay?
Miley: *goes over to her bed and lays down* Joey?
Joe: *covers her with blankets and sits in a chair next to the bed* Yes?
Miley: Sing me a song, please? Like you used to when we were little?
Joe: The one I wrote two years ago?
Miley: *nods* The one about that girl, but you never told me who she was.
Joe: Oh, I know which one you're talking about. Okay. *clears his throat*

Miley: *fell asleep*
Joe: *strokes her hair* I love you, Miley. *kisses the top of her head and leaves the room*
(The Next Morning)
Miley: *wakes up and looks at the time* Shit! I'm going to be late! *throws the covers off of herself and runs into the bathroom* *does morning stuff and changes into jeans and a babydoll top* I hope Joe didn't leave for school! *runs down the stairs*
Joe: You think I could ever forget about you? *puts a motorcycle helmet on her*
Miley: Thanks Joe! *kisses him on the cheek and grabs Poptarts*
Joe: *touches his cheek where she kissed it and smiles*
Tish: MILEY! YOU HAVE SO MUCH WORK TO DO WHEN YOU GET HOME!
Miley: I'm going to stay late at school mom! BYE! *runs out the door with Joe*
(at school)
Miley: *at her locker* Thank God, and just enough time to switch my books.
Cody: MILEY! *hugs her tight*
Miley: Uh, hi Cody, *hugs back*
Cody: *kisses her for a long time*
Miley: *pulls away* Cody, we have to talk.
Cody: About what?
Miley: My mom would prefer if you didn't call the house phone, okay?
Cody: Okay, I'll call your cell from now on.
Miley: *nods and the bell rings* I have to get to class, since I missed homeroom.
Cody: Gotcha! See you at lunch! *kisses her again and leaves*
Miley: Oh my God. *slams her head against her locker*
Joe: Come on, we'll just find that old lady after school and find out what she did, okay?
Miley: Okay. *they walk to class*
(At Lunch)
Miley: *eating her lunch*
Demi: *sits down next to her* Hey chica!
Miley: Hey Dems.
Demi: What's wrong? You sound sad.
Miley: Boy troubles.
Demi: Ugh. Those are the worst! I remember them back from when I was starting out with David?
Miley: You do?
Demi: Totally! You know what I think you need?
Miley: What?
Demi: A girl's weekend! That would be awesome! It's Thursday, so on Friday we can totally go for makeovers and crap. *grins*
Miley: Sure, that sounds cool. Maybe I can get a new leather jacket!
Demi: *sighs* You're getting more than a leather jacket! We're talking hair, makeup, clothes, the whole bing bang!
Miley: Are you sure about that?
Demi: Totally!
David: Hey guys! *puts his food down* What are you talking about?
Demi: My secret other boyfriend.
David: Your what!?!?!
Demi: *laughs and kisses him* I'm just kidding. There's only one guy for me.
David: And that would be?
Demi: Brad Pitt. *giggles*
David: Haha. Very cute. *takes a bite of his lunch and swallows*
Cody: MILEY, OVER HERE!
Miley: Shit. I gotta go. Bye you two. *picks up her lunch and goes over to Cody's table*
