@coopmuch56 You want to see what gun control does for gun violence, look up a vid on youtube called british want thier guns back, look up stats canada violent crime rate, we do not have one of the lowest gun crime rates, in switzerland where almost every home has an assault weapon there is about 1 murder for every 250,000 people and like you said bear mace $20.00 that any criminal can buy, If the criminal has the gun and you got the mace i wish your family the best of luck.

@7504jc America has one of the highest gun violence rates in the world and you want our laws to be like them? That is the definition of illogical. On the other hand Canada has some of the lowest gun violence crimes in the world. I dont know what goes through your head thinking we should adopt americas laws when they are an utter disaster...Like I said a $20 bear mace canister at canadian tire will defend you from any burglar and and no one has to die.

@coopmuch56 much rather have rules like the states with a ccw permit, just so you know my guns are locked up proper in the safe ammo lock in a seperate box, but i still thiink you should teach kids about gun safety its like teaching them not play with lighters or touch the stove, a friend of mine had his gun safe and ammo box stolen during a b&e and it was bolted to the studs in the wall they want them hey take them.

@7504jc Buy some bear mace from canadian tire, your kids wont accidently kill someone or themselves with it and its range is over 30 feet..more than enough for a house and that will stop a burglar in their tracks believe me it feels like your on fire. Guns laying around the house with kids is just a recipe for disaster. Not only that but it also gives more incentive for criminals to try and steal the guns when you are not home, it much easier than breaking into a safe and trigger locks.

@coopmuch56 Do you have kids?
-
@coopmuch56 Like i said parenting if you got guns teach your kids they are never to young to learn they are not toys, As far as im concerned murder is murder 1 or a 100 if a they had a chance to defend themselves with a gun dont you think its worth it, i would not want my wife trying to defend herself against a rapist with anything other then a gun.
-
@7504jc YOU might teach your kids but that doesnt mean EVERYONE will. Especially with 7 year old kids that loves playing guns as I did. Seeing a real one would be the coolest thing ever and I would pick it up. There has been countless times that children pick them up and shoot them on accident...to many and guns laws are working fine in Canada considering we only have 580 murders a year on average compared to USA 18,500 murders. If guns made you safer why does USA have such high crime rate?
-
@coopmuch56 And yes most of the time it is a knife but im sure you have heard the saying dont bring a knife to a gun fight.
-
@coopmuch56 It is called parenting ive got 2 kids a 12 year old girl and a 17 year old boy they both have the knowledge needed to safely handle all my firearms they have been taught the ACTS and PROVE very throughly they started off like many people who have guns with a little single shot 22.According to a Statistics Canada Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) Survey, about half of home invasion incidents involved a weapon being used in the incident.,And 47% were harmed look it up.

@7504jc So you want open guns in the house with a bunch of curious kids running around playing? That is exactly why USA has so many kids shooting themselves on accident or bringing the gun to school and shooting someone. Canada has some of the lowest gun crime rates in the world so I think we are doing something right,how often do robbers break into canadian homes and shoot the family? Pretty much NEVER. The fact that you want loaded guns sitting around the house with your family is disgusting,
@robertson109 yep, back in Canada now, I have seen first hand while living and working in the U.S. how firearms saved lives, lowlifes don't f**k with ya when there is a good possibility you are packing..

They are stored safe and out of reach of anyone who shouldn't touch them. I enjoy hunting and do not waste anything that I hunt. I enjoy target practice and I just enjoy guns in general. Its a hobby of mine. Now you feminine men are trying to tell me that I shouldn't have rights in my own country? How dare you. This should be my right. I was born a Canadian and will die one. If you don't like guns then don't buy one, but leave us men to our business.
