Modern medicine is generally awful with chronic diseases, and is in it's infancy in learning about how to really deal with them, the immune system, nutrition, emotional health, etc...
However, it's REALLY great if your arm get's cut off, they can sew it back on, and make it even work! Majik? not quite...deadly disease, cured by antibiotics? yay!
Not to belittle the corruption, bribery, conspiracies, and such, as they are real too, however, there IS some, quite a lot, of good medicine too!

Uh no...many diseases are incurable because medical science doesn't employ magic. And yes sometimes the treatment entails a risk that may make the patient worse. This is a negotiable risk, such is the case with chemotherapy. The patient is in the position to choose whether or not to try the treatment.
"Other than parasites, have you ever known any doctor to "cure" anything that a body's own immune system doesn't already cure"
That depends on what you mean by "cure".

Is anyone aware of any disease caused by a deficiency of drugs? Pharmaceuticals by design are almost always intended to manage disease symptoms, not cure diseases. If a disease is cured, a customer is lost; hence the mainstream medical model.

@HealthWyze Either way, there's a lot of room for improvement.
I would agree with the fact that doctors earn way too much money and also many things about the medical industry were designed to screw over the general public, but the way this video was put together is very poor, obviously a pot head upset about their favorite habit being illegal.
You might as well add the total of deaths caused by war in the world and compare it with automobile accidents and say driving should be made illegal. The comparisons are weak.

@TruthSeekingOne -- Pharmaceuticals do kill more people every year than the total deaths from any war in U.S. history, and many times more than those killed in automobile accidents. EVERY YEAR. You can verify with the U.S. census. You're far more safe driving drunk than being treated for a chronic disease, in which the TREATMENT is most likely to eventually kill you. You're much more likely to die from chemo than heroin or cocaine (i.e. UNTREATED cancer patients live 6-12 times longer).

Yup this is just one giant conspiracy that while intentionally and malevolently causes thousands of deaths, has at the same time increased our life spans and quality of life. Hmm wait... What is one of the big difference between a drug dealer and a doctor. Doctor's see people who have conditions that need treatment, they start off with sick people. Drug dealer's give people conditions that need treatments and typically start with physically healthy individuals.

@dookiecheez -- Actually, doctors do give people conditions too, in order to create life time chemical dependencies. That's why so many diseases are "incurable", and why drugs tend to worsen (not improve) diseases with long term usage. Other than parasites, have you ever known any doctor to "cure" anything that a body's own immune system doesn't already cure? Even their vaulted antibiotics actually weaken an immune system in the long term, making a person overall more dependent and sickly.

Doctors earn less here in the United Kingdom, but I suspect the "drug pushing" still goes on to some extent.

@darthbandon10 -- The actual doctors may not be getting kick-backs from Big Pharma, but I'd bet the governmental policy makers are.
