  • Hi Toby,

I'm an interpreter and love watching your videos. Can you tell me what the sign is around 3:58. It is a bent V hand shape on your cheek. I'm thinking it means "someone marked with experience, but I'm not sure. Thanks!! Love watching your videos!!

  • Hi there. "TOUGH"

  • What's the sign at 3:56-3:57 mean? (curled-V down cheek)?

  • Tough.

  • what is good teacher, lol.

  • I agree with you completely!!!!

  • Thank you for posting this video! I'm in the process of learning ASL and find you to be easy to follow. Please keep posting your informative videos! It's very much appreciated!

  • As an ASL teacher I agree with you 100%. Interestingly enough, because I teach high school, and students come in with the misconception it will be EASY, I get a lot of backlash from students and parents alike - all year long! The parent say "It's JUST sign language" what makes it so hard?! They have no clue!

  • Great vlog Toby ;o)

    Thanks for sharing your insights!!!

  • Can anyone tell me what this is about. I'm having trouble telling what he's saying. I'm a slow learner in ASL.

  • Can you tell me the sign that appears around 1:40, v tapping your finger. Thanks for your videos, you're definitely not a "robot teacher".

  • Is a robot teacher an interpreter?

  • Just an interesting note. I had watched this video yesterday, and was also puzzled about the same sign. So today I was chatting with a deaf friend(husband is a Gally teacher) and she explained the sign to mean "Hell no" ... regional thing i guess!
