The video quality is not great, and the sound & video don't sync perfectly, but it's the only video we had!

This is the rifle drill team from the 2347 Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (Princess Louise's) Regimental Cadet Corps.
These rifles are no longer in service, and a lot of other things have changed in today's Army Cadets but the pride always remains.
These cadets are all between the ages of 14-18 years old (most are 15-17) - this video was recorded in June of 1985.

  • this drill is better than any of the cadets i'm in today. this is absolutely flawless!

That wouldn't happen to be the SLR?

  • @KLG5909 - Thanks for the comment.

The rifles are the Canadian version of the SLR - the FNC1A1 (Fabrique Nationale - Belgian make. 7.62mm).

The FN was replaced by the C7 5.56mm in the 90's.

  • FN rifles?

  • Yes - FN C1A1 - I miss them!
