HSR MItty 09 Grp 5 Rain Race-Edward Sevadjian-68 Corvette-Duntov Motor Company

This video is from the 2009 HSR Walter Mitty Challenge 1st Feature Race. The first two laps have already been run behind the pace car due to rain. The video starts on lap three for the first green flag lap. The rain slowly gains momentum until the bottom fall out and the camera shorts. The car is a 68 big block Corvette prepared by Duntov Motor Company. It has stock suspension, brakes and differential with an upgraded engine and transmission.

Are you in the same class as the other cars? After you passed the whole field in the first straightaway, I was convinced that this car had to be in a different class!!

All of those cars are in the same class. The track was wet and the other cars were still modulating the throttle. I was short shifting but still had the hammer down so the closing speed is a little deceiving. I certainly didnt pass that Camaro that easily in practice.

Yeah they are a little shifty. I could tow it in a little to make it stop straight but I lose turn in. Its manageable enough.

Great job in the rain, that was brilliant. Easy on the breaks easy on the gas, like there are eggshells on the pedals. Absolutely brilliant. Engine noise is iconic. Keep up the great work! Any more posts on their way? I would like to see them.

Unfortunately the video ends because the camera shorts so the rest of the weekend didnt get recorded. We are going to to Road America next for the K.I.C. and I will post the vids when we get back.

I love these old cars,my Dad had a 68 427 4 speed car that had 12:1's in it and we had to run the old purple leaded sunoco in it. Man I sure miss that car, it had hooker leg burners on it too. Your car sounds nice, what kind of motor is in it

Yeah... 130mph on the long straight when it's pouring rain, you must have balls of steel! What is your engine setup? The guy who showed me this video said it was a big block chevy... sounds pretty mean bouncing off the limiter at 8k!
