Cabin Kids--After You've Gone

The Cabin Kids began appearing on screen in 1935 as a "musical ensemble" in features, Our Gang comedy shorts and a series of musical shorts in which they headlined. This "Song Hit Story" features performances by The Cabin Kids, The Pope Sisters and The Six Mountain Melodeers. Scheduled entertainment for a posh dinner party is delayed, so the help and a hillbilly orchestra put on impromptu performances. The five Cabin Kids perform "Sweet Sue," "This Little Piggy" and "Workin' For the Lord." Earle W. Hammons founded Educational Films Corporation of America in 1919 for the purpose of producing educational films for schools. When that didn't work out, Hammons segued into comedy and musical theatrical shorts instead, but retained the original company name.

I think the little boy is purely exhibiting a 1930s version of undiagnosed and unheard of case of ADD at it's finest! LOL!! I love them! Epsecially the Old MacDonald song!

Any possibility of putting up that scene from an Our Gang short (Spanky and Alfalfa were both in it) where the Cabin Kids sing Old Mac Donald? I was always so blown away by that.

The youngest obviously suffered from ADHD, Or had an allergy to his Moms laundry detergent.

@tonyblair999 I don't see either. I just see kids singing. One of them probably suffered from ADD. You really should learn to see the positive in talented children …. and learn to spell. The difference between this clip and racism is that racists would not have allowed the Cabin Kids to be in the film. If you find this offensive, maybe you should get off of Youtube and listen to today's "colored" entertainment where they grab their dicks and call black people "niggers." Can't change the past.

IMHO either something was put on the little one to make him uncomfortable OR he was told to act that way as part of the 'bit'. You see no expense was spared in presenting blacks (esp males) as itchy,scratchy,no self control having lil animals. See the females have no such problems. No the other boy doesn't either but you only need 1
