President Obama Promotes Energy Efficiency

President Obama and Energy Secretary Steven Chu announce several actions that will promote energy efficiency and save Americans billions of dollars per year. The announcement includes major changes to energy conservation standards for lighting, as well as $346 million from the Recovery Act that will accelerate the development and use of energy efficient technologies in commercial and residential buildings. @Desertphile I wouldn't say fox News made them do so. I would believe the inability to understand the security issues that importing fuels presents to a nation. On top of that there is a stigma that makes it seem as though alternative fuels are "weaker" than petroleum based fuels. This is an educational issue not news related. The energy, environmental, food, debt, and financial crisis of this world are generally unknown. Education can change the world for the good if it is used right.
