President Obama and Energy Secretary Steven Chu announce several actions that will promote energy efficiency and save Americans billions of dollars per year. The announcement includes major changes to energy conservation standards for lighting, as well as $346 million from the Recovery Act that will accelerate the development and use of energy efficient technologies in commercial and residential buildings. These improvements will create jobs and help decrease carbon pollution. June 29, 2009. (Public Domain)
@digitalPimple If you think that one administration has the capability to reach our goals in alternative energies you have to be the stupidest person alive. It has never been about fixing everything in four years. I never said Obama can fix all of this. You're only concreting what I was saying earlier. I understand that the magnitude of the fuel industry is too vast for one solution. Any solution surely beats our current predicament. Sorry but you did not address my argument. Good game troll...

If you think Obama and this administration understand this topic or have a clue how to get there, you may not have a single ounce of common sense still left. You are so drunk on stupidity you will never be able to form a reasonable opinion or logical approach to reach your goals alt fuels. You will blindly follow anything and everyone whom serves up the alternative brew.

@digitalPimple Your name suits you well. Leave the big people talk to the big people alright? It is obvious you do not understand the implications of alternative fuels and the sensitivity of the matter. Get out of your parents basement. Get a few books that you can read that will help you get out of the microcosm that was created by the vast amount of wealth accumulated by your country. To be honest people like you make me wish there was an IQ test for potential parents...

@Desertphile I wouldn't say fox News made them do so. I would believe the inability to understand the security issues that importing fuels presents to a nation. On top of that there is a stigma that makes it seem as though alternative fuels are "weaker" than petroleum based fuels. This is an educational issue not news related. The energy, environmental, food, debt, and financial crisis of this world are generally unknown. Education can change the world for the good if it is used right.

Energy-efficiency is the current topic worldwide. With the conclusion of the Copenhagen conference earlier this week, the energy sector is bound to get more attention. Countries like Denmark, United States, and China are racing ahead in the renewable energy market. Companies like Pacific Crest Transformers is working towards building a clean energy economy. Visit its website for more on this.
