So in this segment I show you guys how I keg and carbonate my Simcoe IPA. There are a ton of different way to carbonate beer once its in a keg but this is the quickest. With that said its also the most aggresive method!
Kegging equipment can be purchased for around $150 for everything you need. If you have any questions feel free to post them.

  • Hey man. What kind of conditioning did you usually do? I know it's case sensitive, but I heard that it's always a good idea to fill the keg, put a few pounds on it and let it sit at room temp for a few weeks before chilling, carbing and serving. Thoughts?

  • @SoulBoxer I usually let it sit in primary for 3 weeks or so and then just carb it. If I had the patience and the ability to brew more then I do I would let it sit for maybe 10 days or so at around 55F to let it settle up.

  • Great keg video man. It looks like you use the same seal lubricant that I do. "Sanitary Petrol Gel Lubricant" packaged by McGlaughlin Oil Company. it's a pain to spread around but works amazing.

  • @BlakeaTube Yep its great stuff! Ive had this same tube for over 2 years now!

  • excellent vid man.

  • @glitch777 Thanks man! How did your turn out?

  • @BeerGeekNation I did an Brown ale extract brew about a month ago. 1 week primary, 1 week secondary and then slow carbed in at 48F for a week. I was shuned by friends who drank it and said that it was young, unconditioned and lacking a yeast presence. Could have been a weak pitch I suppose.

  • @BeerGeekNation it came out perfect. im about to make the vid in a minute here

  • @smackcheez Yeah I think I had more yeast in there then I wanted to pull up. Still tasted really good though

  • @oxidize99 Thanks! Cheers
