I met Manny Sanguillen at a card show in Detroit in 1992 - very personable fellow - when I asked him about Roberto Clemente, he told me that he went scuba diving in Puerto Rico to look for the body when the team flew down for the funeral.

Simply one of the best ever. Highly recommend downloading Game 7 of the 1971 Series from iTunes. Manny at his best hitting almost .400 in the series and leading the series in steals! Truly a class act.

I got his autograph back in about 1974. He was one of the easiest people to get an autograph from, so polite, he even talked to me and came back later to talk to me again (like 10 minutes fater he signed)
