  • I reckon it is my old schoolfriend Geoff Trickey in the blue shirt. Good luck to him wherever he is.

  • The only connection with The Unwanted - Secret Police single is James Bradley (the mini driver) played drums and produced them. Jeff Boult worked with (and appeared on the artwork to replace one of the members who was in jail for a month) James on the single sleeve.

Jeff and James have just produced a film if you dial in Hamster Home Alone 750mph, you'll see it on YouTube

  • This commercial was commissioned by British Leyland International, Overseas d)ivision (Martin Morrow, Manager, Overseas Advertising) and the script and storyboards developed between BL and Denis Abey of The Moving Picture Company.

The actual driving of the jumping Mini shots was carried out by Steven Harvey.

  • Everytime I watch this video it makes me feel sick. Partly because of the driving and partly because of the cloths the boys are wearing.

  • @YuppDanners Wow, I was so confused :) The only reason why I have the Unwanted record is because there was rumor that there was "Trevor Horn" involvement. Trevor Horn produced the "Gardner & Boult" singles. When I had both the Unwanted record cover and "Gardner & Boult" single cover side by side I saw a resemblance. Now I wonder if there even was any Trevor Horn involvement with "the Unwanted" :)

  • @MattBisgod yes indeed it is me! Just noticed your post

  • hahaha, wow nice advert

  • Is this the same Fred Gardner & Jeff Boult who were 'The Tapes. I love 'Life in the New City'. You can see on You Tube. Anyone know?

  • @shephia you don't happen to be Iain Shepherd do you?

  • This is by far the greatest thing that ever graced youtube. Congratulations you win
