  • Five Stars and shared.

A beautiful video for a beautiful piece of music, as I said to those that I shared it with, "Simply a work of art."

  • Thanks1 Im very flattered. This was the first video i ever made!

  • I also love the Omega man, Soylent green and lots of post-apocalypse films from the 70s.

Do you know QUIET EARTH? Great Australian budget film, but well done and again, a magnificent first half hour!

  • Yes definitely! The cave scene at the end puts things in perspective (puts us in our evolutionnary place as a being bound to degenarate!). I also think the music, which is flawless, gives an essential texture to the film, an APE texture if you will! This is one of these films where magic happened. These people got together to make a film and it went beyond them, it surpassed them and gained a life of its own.

  • Thanks for the info mikecleona,

  • @camcome1 The female astronaut was Lt. Mary Ann Stewart. Don't know her actual name.

  • What was the name of the woman on board, the title doesn't seem to say

  • The late, great maestro Jerry Goldsmith was a BRILLIANT composer! Too bad he is no longer with us.

  • Nice music. It reminds me of Edgar Varèse.

  • @sychmusic

Quiet Earth is an amazing and underappreciated film.

  • I dig the montage. It goes well with Golsmith's very eerie score.

  • Agreed.

  • Bravo then!

I'll probably end up favoriting it.

My only hesitation is that I'm closing in on 700 and I've heard that's the limit, so I'm trying to slow it down a LOT. Still, everything from the thumbnail of that iconic image showing their sleek ship (that STILL looks more advanced than the space shuttle ever did,) sinking to your choice of images, all were spot on and top drawer. If you'll always be this good at video making then I should probably subscribe.
