I believe Atlas O and Lionel use the same mold for their cylindrical hoppers. I have a couple of Lionel cylindrical hoppers and I recently purchased an Atlas O cylindrical hopper to compare the two. I can't find any differences between the manufacturers on the body of the cylindrical hoppers themselves.

In my opinion, Atlas O makes the best quality freight cars for O Scale. My favorites are the Gunderson Husky Stacks, Trinity 5161 cu. Covered Hoppers, Cylindrical Hoppers, Horizon cars and more. Their detailing is superior. Plus, I agree that the master series for whether its locomotives or rolling stock, they all are nicely scaled.

@fatzGeronimo For 2-Rail Operation the couplers are more true to scale and mounted like real railroad equipment.
Thank You Eric, I thought so, but did not see any Master Series cars when I was there on Thursday. They must be in between shipments.........

@DJW701 He stocks some Atlas stuff, but not a huge amount. But he's a dealer, so you can pre-order through him.
