The weather guy does not understand that in science debate is not done on TV or in court rooms.

The validity of an idea is decided by scientific consensus, which for time being is strongly on the side of the theory that global warming is really happening and that it is primarily caused by burning fossil fuels.

If he wants to change scientific consensus, he'd better get a Ph.D, start doing cutting edge research, and publish the results in peer reviewed journals.

The problem is that people didn't want their theory to be proved wrong, instead they'd rather remove or delete evidence contrary to their beliefs.
