The farmers do whatever they can for their animals but most places are having a hard time with the price of milk being so low. The way that animals are treated is a reflection on what the consumer is willing to pay for the product. There have been 2 dairy farmer suicides in the San Joaquin Valley in the last 6 months.

Give us the water and land we need. Give us the support that we ask for, so we can have the ability to give our animals a better life. You might be helping animals, but you aren't doing it full around. You don't look at all aspects. Don't just look at one side but both. Help us, so we can help them. More and more regulations keeps putting us in these kind's of positions. I care for every single one of my animals with as much care as I would my own kin. Look at everything before you judge. Please

@Evilmike42 When I piss off ignorant, selfish fucktards like you it just makes me smile. Thanks for brightening my day!

@Peregrine86 What a truly pathetic sociopathic creep you are.
-
@1955porsche Comparing deathcamps to a dairy farm just proves you are a stupid, moronic, sociopath. Now go kill yourself, since 'humans are evil'.

This is still ridiculously cruel, but I've seen worse- at least they aren't tied to the crate in a dark shed.

That anyone can justify the imprisonment, torture and murder of another sentient being that is not only defenceless but completely innocent for PROFIT is beyond me.
We all know factory farms are bad but this "Best life Possible" fallacy that so called "family farms" tout is ridiculous. Cows make milk for baby cows, not so they can be raped year after year, have their calves stolen and be killed when they no longer produce enough so that farmers make the most profits. Stop drinking milk.
-
@tamithomas Respect is giving the milk to who it belongs to; the calves!

@1955porsche some are well mostly are but i think ever one who said the they hated this or something like that do have the real human heart

How strange that this is considered acceptable practice. As Dr. Temple Grandin says, bad has become normal.

Do you judge all African-American citizens off gang-bangers and thugs? Do you judge all Middle Eastern people off of what happened in 9/11? No. You might say that isn't connected to any of this, but people are biased and don't want to look at the whole truth. We can't give these animals the best life possible because of land and water regulation. Give us support and the resources we need, and we can give our animals the best life possible. If you don't, this will continue to happen.
@HKTeeVee After taking the case against Mendes Calf Ranch all the way to the highest court in the land, ALDF got news on May 15, 2008 that the California Supreme Court was dismissing ALDF v. Mendes. The facts laid out in the lawsuit against Mendes were never heard by the court system. Because animals are still considered "property" by the law, ALDF is still pushing the envelope by using innovative legal strategies to fight for the right to represent the interest of the voiceless in court.
