This kid rocks. I saw him open for Vince Neil, Quiet Riot and Slaughter at a show 3 years back - he's got a ton of talent!

What hes doing is no joke, I went to get myself an e violin recently and tried playing a viper like he has just out of curiosity, it has a shoulder strap and is played really low, unlike most violins, and it has frets, and six strings are impossible to play. Plus I can't improvise rock scales at all, I tried to play it and the only thing i got was a horrible drone. The people selling the vipers looked at me with contained hilarity, needless to say I ended up getting a different kind of violin...

It looks slightly weird to me when violinists have this shoulder-holding-thing though.
