Leader Knot

How to tie a shock leader to the mainline. There are other knots, maybe stronger, but this one is the easiest and generally strong enough.

tie a uni knot in the heavier line then a san diego jam knot in the lighter line..best knot you can get. wrap it anywhere from 3-10x depending on line diameter and works great with braid to braid, mono to mono, or braid to mono

i used a knot that was similar to this earlier today for the first time..called the stren knot..just got back from losing a monster tarpon i hooked right from the beach because my leader is kind of thick to tie to braid..anyone know any good knots for braid to a heavier (200lb test) leader

G'day mate, I tried casting with a shock leader and the knot I used between the shock leader and main braid line was hitting/touching the guides and significantly affected my distance. How do i tackle this problem?
