If you have ever wondered what would will be the future of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or the Mormons, watch this video.

"I love the experience Wilford Woodruff tells of the Prophet's message to the elders who met in preparation for the 1834 Zion's Camp march:" 'On Sunday night the Prophet called on all who held the Priesthood to gather into the little log school house they had there. It was a small house, perhaps 14 feet square. But it held the whole of the Priesthood of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who were then in the town of Kirtland, and who had gathered together to go off in Zion's Camp. That was the first time I ever saw Oliver Cowdery, or heard him speak; the first time I ever saw Brigham Young and Heber C. Kimball, and the two Pratts, and Orson Hyde and many others. There were no Apostles in the Church then except Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery. When we got together the Prophet called upon the Elders of Israel with him to bear testimony of this work. Those that I have named spoke, and a good many that I have not named, bore their testimonies. When they got through the Prophet said, "Brethren I have been very much edified and instructed in your testimonies here tonight, but I want to say to you before the Lord, that you know no more concerning the destinies of this Church and kingdom than a babe upon its mother's lap. You don't comprehend it." I was rather surprised. He said "it is only a little handful of Priesthood you see here tonight, but this Church will fill North and South America—it will fill the world" ' (in Conference Report, Apr. 1898, p. 57)."

M. Russell Ballard, "Anchored by Faith and Commitment," Ensign, July 1995, 15

Matthew 24:14

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. "

  • Every young Mormon man is expected to go on a 'mission', which means giving two years of voluntary service anywhere in the world, usually at their own expense, to spread the word about the work of the church. Nemani said: "I've always had a desire to

  • @omiolo We should all have the desire to serve.

  • By Monday night, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints had accounted for the safety of all its missionaries serving in the South Pacific island nation, said church Scott Trotter. . .

  • @omiolo This is becoming a regular activity.

  • Contrast this miraculous healing with what happens “when we undertake to cover our sins, or to gratify our pride [or] our vain ambition. … The heavens withdraw themselves; the Spirit of the Lord is grieved;” and we are left alone “to kick against the pricks … and to fight against God.

  • @omiolo Great contrast!

  • The gap in the middle will now be filled as President Thomas S. Monson announced in October 2008 general conference that a temple will be built in Calgary.

  • "However, when we think of growth we don't think only of numbers and statistics," he said. "We think also of the spiritual growth of our members."

"Today, I think, there's a significant effort to be able to connect with the Native-American community that was already here at that time. So, I consider this to be an outreach which is a very positive thing for the community," EchoHawk said.

  • Then the adviser shared a brief experience that deeply touched his heart, because one of the priests reminded him of what it really means to be a true minister of Jesus Christ—literally, a ministering angel. The young priest who was passing the water to the congregation came to a man who appeared to have Down syndrome.

  • He then accompanied two priests to administer the sacrament in a residential home for physically and mentally disabled men. This was the first opportunity for these two young men to visit this home, and their adviser noted the respectful and caring way in which they approached their priesthood assignment.
