Yay for a new video! :D I know I've been hiding for a while. ;) This might be my last video of Rena since I am leaving for college soon. I am hoping I can make one last video of her. I rarely video tape because I never have my camera. Luckily these past two months I got to video tape at least three lessons. I am beyond proud of this girl, she has come a long way to where she is today. When we first began she could only complete three obstacles before she would decide to bark and take a nice bite out of my arm. Thanks to my friends and Robin for helping me out and for all of your support.
Anyways, it's been a pleasure to train this gal. I've learn things I will surely need for my future career in dog behaviory and I can't thank her and Robin enough for this special opportunity.

Thanks Alissa for video taping today. ;)

  • Looking awesome! Glad to see you're still 'doing it' haha... Did you find Rena, a BC, easier to train than your Lab or essentially the same? Good luck with college! Will you be majoring in psych (as a platform for animal psych/ethology graduate study)?

  • @SimTripps Honestly they both challenging in their own special way. Rena was stubborn and Sam was a little dopey and A.D.D. ;) Haha! I am so grateful I got the opportunity to train a border collie before leaving. It sure was an experience. I am honestly majoring in Marine Biology. I love the ocean and marine mammals. i have to work with animals. luckily there's a dog training facility only 20 minutes away from the college and I'll be having my car the second semester.

  • @SimTripps Thank you so much for following us and for the sweet and caring comment. It really means a lot to me. :)

  • She looks awesome :D, are courses at AKC trials usually that close together? Or was it just to help with collection, she really does collect nicely :D!

  • @SnowBall5291 It's really because of the spacing. Towards the fence the terrain is pretty bumpy and unever so I like to stay on that area where all the jumps are. lol And the tight area sure helps with collection. But that's the thing she likes being near and we need to practice some more distance this upcoming week. I should get video of that. I just need someone to take along with me and tape. ;) I can't thank you enough for commenting!

  • You have done an awesome job! A win-win, dog learns agility and handler gets even better at handling. :-)

  • @equinegamer Haha! Exactly! Thank you!
