This is from before the April 8 game vs The Atlanta Braves. The Philadelphia Phillies were receiving their championship rings for the 2008 season.

I tried to get as much as possible but my memory ran out. They presented to the utility and role players first, then the relief pitchers, the starting pitchers and finally the lineup from Game 5 in reverse order. I was able to get Brad Lidge, Bret Myers, Jamie Moyer, Cole Hamels, Carlos Ruiz, Pedro Feliz, Shane Victorino, Pat Burrell, and the beginning of Ryan Howard before my camera died! I missed Chase Utley, Jayson Werth, and Jimmy Rollins

If you were wondering:
* Adam Eaton was tremendously boo'd when he was announced but he took it in stride.
* Joe Blanton was announced early and not with the starting pitchers so he could resume warming up for the game
* The Rings were gorgeous! They were well worth it after 28 years.
* The Phillies rallied from being behind 10-3 to score 8 runs in the 7th before winning 12-11.

  • That pat burrell ovation brought a tear to my eye. We are the best fans in the league.

  • @bobywade517; I totally agree!

  • This happened on my birthday, and the best present ever was when they came back to win that game. Amazing. LOVE THE PHILLIES!

  • That was an awesome game. A friend of mine got me the tickets and I ended up sitting about 5 feet from Governor Rendell. When the Phillies were rallying in the 7th inning, I changed the popular "Everybody Hits... WOO HOO" chant to "EVERYBODY WALKS... WOO HOO!" That was a fun game. GO PHILLIES!!!!

  • who was the first one?

  • The first one on this video is Brad Lidge.

  • Burrell -- Never EVER once complained about being booed. Played hard and had some truly clutch hits. He topped it off by thanking the fans with two full page ads in the Philly papers. Class act all the way. Good luck Pat.

  • I know. Very memorable It was the first time my father, myself and the boys were at an event like this. They even caught a "practice" home run ball before the game! LOL! That ending was so incredible, the kids said, "Did they win the world series". It reminded them of the world series ending! My dad and I lost it!!! Sucks... it was the last game we attended :(

  • Burrell is the man

  • It was nice to see Pat get a standing ovation. I wish him the very best in Tampa.
