It Was A Short Summer, Charlie Brown - George Winston

Although never released on a commercial recording by Vince, this song was the main theme from the Peanuts® special It Was A Short Summer, Charlie Brown.

Georges rendition here is very inspired by the playing of the late, great New Orleans pianist James Booker (1939-1983). A keyboard wizard, Booker was the first person to take R&B, Blues, Soul, New Orleans music, the Professor Longhair influence, the Ray Charles influence, and more, and make a whole solo piano style from those traditions.
