one of my fave 'Burbs tunes. saw them live a half dozen times in Madison - Great Hall, Merlyn's, Vigs, Headliners--they never disappointed. best bar band, ever, imo. Beej, what a great frontman. Rest in peace Bruce - what a sweetheart he was, and so talented in many realms, he was also their graphic man, he is so missed. Thank you Suburbs for continuing to inspire, even 30 years later. We love you.

Baka does indeed mean "stupid" in Japanese. I never made that connection until today. I was a big fan in High School, sneaking into Butch Vig's joint to see The Suburbs play with a fake ID. A decade later, I lived in Japan for a year.
