Tying the Epoxy Mylar Spoon Fly, Part 1 of 4

The Mylar Spoon Fly that I tie is a variation on Jon Cave's Wobbler. I developed this versioin with the expert input from almost a year of field testing from Captain Bubby Rodriguez and Captain Mark Brockhoeft; I say I developed it but that is a loose term as I was the tier and they told me what they wanted it to do, so you can easily say they developed it. The input they provided was to create a spoon that would act more like the spinfisher's popular metal spoon so effectively used for redfish and be able to be used in the shallow grassy ponds where we fished. For that reason, it is very good in shallow water and fishes best in two and a half feet or shallower depths. In Part 1, I will be tying the weight, weedguard and mylar on the hook.
