What I would like someone to tell me via my inbox is how much social freedom with the British athletes will be expected to have being the home athletes when they aren't competing? For example seeing friends and/or relatives. Or will they be confined to barracks the entire period of the Games.
yes, i agree.. but places like birmingham, sheffield and leeds become neglected, and i think that's what ancientfish's point was. sure Manchester got the commonwealth games but that was quite a rarity..

its in east london it was just empty land with a few factories...the land was empty becuase most of it was marshland and the ground was contaminated
