  • ok i'm not the most experienced weight lifter, but isn't that bad form? the way he's shaking his body around and by the looks of it using the momentum to lift up the weight etc?

  • @DuckHeadlolz I'm gonna have to guess that this is his last set of curls, so they aren't going to be the easiest ones to do. A LITTLE cheating isn't a bad thing. As long as it's at the end of the exercise.

  • I ment to say 7 not three btw.

  • he does move his body into the lift yes, but if you notice once the bar is at chest height his back is perfectly straight and brings the bar higher, the extra push with the straightened posture is what he'll be looking for, it's like in arnold 21's where the last three you start at the chest and lift up. Also he is wearing a lifting belt so he's in no serious danger of hurting his back, just doing some mean lifts.

  • If I remember correctly, one of those plates might weight 25lbs, which basically totals up to 150 lbs worth of weight on that barbell (barbell might be around 25 lbs or so).

    Start doing your 80 lb dumbell curls before complaining.

  • Cheating can be good if you cant do anymore and need like 2 reps, you can use them to do negatives.

  • I'm starting to believe its ok to cheat on curls cause everyone that cheats has huge arms

  • @CollegeLoheart - cheat reps should be an ordinary protocol to follow, especially when you dont have a spotter. I see a lot of small americans ending their workouts when they havent really done shit.. using cheat reps (or sets), you can actually let the muscles burn (feel the lactic acid to promote the release of growth hormone and others) to get big.. i thought everybody knew this, but obviously many who decide to comment dont know their stuff. kinda sad..
