O le Taulaga Pa'ia o le Misasā i Waianae. The Sāmoan version of the Offertory hosted by the Pearl City Sāmoan Catholic Choir. Here the taupou leads the procession up to the altar, followed by the 'aiaiuli and the gift bearers. All of them lead the procession in blessing the altar of the Lord. Following the taupou and mānaia are the tulāfale [orators] who guard the altar [they stood up there for two hours, kalofae]. Following the orators is the tānoa bearer. He presents the tānoa to the altar. Following him is the 'ava bearer; here he caries the sacred root of Sāmoa to present to God as a gift. Following the 'ava bearer is the presentation of the sua. The choir leader caries the niu and the 'ie siapo (vala), followed by the presenter of the mea taumafa. The bread and wine are then presented to the priests. The monetary donation is brought up in a fala basket and presented to the priest for blessing. The 'ie toga is then processed up the altar and presented to the Lord. This is the taualaga fa'a-Sāmoa. All elements of Sāmoan are presented before the Lord, because they are created by God for Sāmoa. O le talitonuga lea o le Ekalesia Katoliko Sāmoa. Mālō lava fa'afetai mo le fa'afofoga mai. Soifua.
@FobDee: Corrections, Catholics Genuflect (bow) to the cross NOT the priest.

@jeromejnr73 The Taupou and Dancers should be facing the altar as the gifts are to God. Not facing the people as if they were an audience. Just my opinion. Im a Samoan Catholic and when we have this traditional offetory procession it is not like this. For example I have a vid on my page showing the Taulaga offertory procession at Cardinal Pio's Funeral at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Mary in Apia, Samoa.

they'd be bowing to the Tabernacle which houses the bread which is the body of CHRIST. I this an actual church or a hall? Always love the massive samoan masses and love how our religion allows us to incorporate our culture into the Mass! :D

This part of a mass is called the Offertory. They are bowing to the cross behind the altar. The cross obviously represents Jesus Christ.
