I have Been Waiting for an App like this forever! AudioMark is a Podcast Bookmarking App That Works!! You know your listening to an hour long show and 2 or 3 times durning the show you hear something that really applies to you. Then later you have to go back and try and find the episode is was on. Then even harder skim over the whole show trying to find that story.

Well AudioMark solves this for you


Create notes while listening to your iPod App. Save and share your notes on-line. Keep an automatic history of your listening. Extend the earphone button and overcome issues it may have.

Start any title using AudioMark or iPod Apps and switch back and forth between them (start video on iPod App and switch to AudioMark for a listen-only mode, which unlike iPod can be run in the background.)

Use AudioMark to write down that last immortal sentence of an Audiobook. Take notes while listening to a lecture. Mark key events of a live performance recording. Email a podcaster as you listen to her podcast and at the same time twit and write on your facebook wall.

Each note records the playback time at which the bookmark was created in addition to information on the title and your personal message. You can save the note on Evernote*, email it to yourself and friends, and/or post on Twitter and/or Facebook.

While listening to a title, you will see all your bookmarks for that title sorted according to playback time. Selecting a bookmark allows you to jump to the playback time at which it was created or to edit its content.

The notes are stored in your App and are backed-up through iTune's sync. They are organized into tracks and albums and can be edited or used to replay content as long as the track is in iPod's library. This allows you to manage listening to multiple Audiobooks or to recover your last location in case iTunes decides to erase this crucial fact for you. In addition, you can email all notes from one track or from an entire album and use the list as a textual time line of the program you where listening to. The playtime information can be handy in timing a recording of a live performance.

AudioMark keeps a history of every pause and play you made. This journal (which can also be erased) can be used to retrieve tracks and playback time without any additional work at the time of your listening. For example, while listening and without touching your device, use the iPhone's earphone switch to make a momentary pause and only at a latter time, in your own comfort, locate the pause-record, using the date and time-of-day at which it was made.

Unlike proprietary audio Apps (such as Audible), the earphone switch works. However, a faulty earphone switch can disrupt your listening considerably, this is especially true while jogging. To partially overcome this problem, you can turn an option in AudioMark to cancel commands made by the earphone switch, this is not a complete solution, but it will keep you running until your next visit to the genius bar ☺

AudioMark has a rewind button that allows you to play the last 10 to 60 seconds according to your own configuration. As an additional "extra earphone button" you can shake your device to perform the rewind.

If you have an earphone without a switch, you can configure AudioMark to toggle between pause and play whenever you shake your device. This feature works as long as AudioMark is running (not in the background). If the screen times-out and turns dark you need to press the On button before shaking the device, but there is no need to swipe the unlock button.
