  • No michael moore did not post this. You can put the entire transcript with it and he still says the same thing. If I knew then what I know now, there would be no justification to invade iraq. He said the compelling reason, from his perspective, was the presence of WMDs and without WMDs there was no justification.

  • The more `real' argument for attacking Saddam's Iraq was to take the oil reserves out of the hands of the government and the people of Iraq and put it into the hands of multinational oil companies that would operate more rationally. And this, the Administration has succeeded (so far) in doing. A major part of the liberating for the Iraqi's was not from Saddam's dictatorship, but rather from the incredibly damaging effects that US lead sanctions against Iraq had brought down on the populice.

  • This war was conceived in 1992, if not earlier, when Cheney, Wolfowitz, et al, did a little creative thinking. Oil is indeed a major factor, but there is a bigger picture.

  • I would have had more respect if he had resigned in protest against the war in 2003.

  • @larma7 because thety would sell them off to terrorist groups. That is a threat to U.S security.

  • Whiny, overrated, disloyal, Obama-loving douche.

  • Thats an hipocrite motherfuquer.. he went to UN to show the evidence of CLEAR WMD in IRAQ.

  • I remember thinking that these people learned nothing from Vietnam and how easy it is to get into a war but getting out is a different story. And when they set a specific date that they would attack they attacked a day or so earlier because "we thought saddam was at that particular place at that time." So right there we knew this was going to be a total waste of money and lives! FOOLS! They should have sent a covert sniper team in to kill saddam and his sons instead & let Iraq sort itself out!

  • The french where right and warned the american people about it.

They where your allies and true friends, no matter what republican warpropaganda says otherwise.

  • @homer30

I don't get it. In inverse liberaland where Bush is Hitler, wouldn't Powell be the Rommel?

  • @alderete74

He was also a disloyal, insubordinate POS who throws his colleagues under the bus.

  • @Hickey66

    A liberal Nazi.

  • Powell, its to late to say them words .coz u did lie to un . even u know thats you are doing wrong ,

  • OK, he doesn't say that the US should not have gone in. The title of this video is wrong. He is saying IF we knew then what we know now then we would not have had justification to go in. That doesn't mean we wouldn't have anyway. (Although, it's extremely unlikely that we would've.)

Also he is not saying it was a mistake. He is saying our information was wrong. Simple. Period. End of story.
