Initial test of homemade DAC board running Popelscan static and animated frames. Word frames I created as a test of the DAC and amp/galvo rig. Galvos are open loop and there is no blanking...just the first test.

Well with galvos, the faster, the better. I have a 20k openloop set and a 20k closed loop. The 20k closed loop provides much smoother movement and I would suggest Closed loop if you intend to do anything beyond beam shows, ie, graphics and text. See Ya.

hey I'm interested in building one for my self.. what kind of galvos should i be looking for.. is the minimun around 20kpps? or should i be looking for better ones... by the way how would you produce blanking? thanks in advance

No...TTL not connected for this first test.The DAC DOES have TTL.
