  • then what happens after u land , how can u see where to park at the gates? GPS ?

  • @abbreviateTome well we can see two to three lights in frot of us and the ATC can see us on their ground radar.

  • Amazing. How do they taxi with only seeing 10 feet in front of them?

  • @normanmj atc has ground radar and they guide us

  • The reason I choose Boeing over Airbus. I don't want the plane calling me a retard every time I land

  • @atenco01 I tell you man, it amazes me everyday

  • @RonPaulOrStatusQuo These types of approaches are only at Major airports who can keep the high levels of safety required for low visibility approaches. The amount of money spent to maintain a CAT 3 approach system is ridiculous compared to a normal ILS. These airports have wildlife management, fences, bird control, and ATC is 100% sure of who is in movement areas of the airport. If they aren't 100% sure they would never give a landing clearance. Lowest VIS landing I've seen yet!

  • my atr does not have autland :(

  • 10... retard.. ;) great landing !

I think you're an idiot and a hypocite for assuming that i'm assuming. It is irrelevant whether someone is qualified or not to have a discussion about safety. What I have stated are possible issues that can and most likely will cause an incident in the future. Let's all hope; a non fatal. Forums such as this have been designed to have positive discussions, not for disses. Hope you learned something today.

  • @RonPaulOrStatusQuo I dont believe you are qualified enough to make assumptions like that...

  • @mariodela That crash at NY was due to the pilots not declaring an emergency.. there is lots of documentation regarding that issue. They advised that they were low on fuel, but not that they were bingo... if they had declared a proper emergency, they would have been handled differently. You also forgot to mention where they circled the airport for quite a while prior to attempting to land.. JFK had lots of traffic and they werent vectored right in.

  • fuck meee

  • WOW. Thank God for technology.

  • If you are an airline pilot you should know how expensive it is to fly to your alternate... If there is an authorized cat-3 at any airport is because its safe and they proved its safe.. The regulations are made by people that only thinks about safety, actually this should be considered a equipment that can help a lot an airplane whit problems... Actually there was a crash in new york where an airplane ran out of fuel, they only had 1 try to land and they failed cuz weather, this would saved em.

  • @badassairman That's fine, but what if there is an obstruction on the runway? Wildlife, debris, disabled vehicle? I think this is a very risky procedure and airlines only get away with it, because passengers are unaware of this fact. This procedure should be an emergency procedure only in case of low fuel, etc.
