We were granted special permission from the owners to access Mells Park Estate for a morning. The main aim was to visit the beautiful waterfall featured in episode one, The Sorcerer, where Robin & Much's parents lived. A lot of Series One was filmed on the estate, village and forest sets. Nearly 30 years on, new trees have grown up, older ones have perished, and there's been a lot of deforestation on the banks of the river. However, the area still looks beautiful and still retains a real RoS feel. No evidence of any of the sets remain, sadly. We'd like to again thank the owners for granting us special access to the grounds.
