Well class of 2010 we made it! 13 long years of education prison complete, Bring on the rest of our lives, Dream Big...

It has been
5 Years... 60 months... 1,825 Days... 43,800 Hours... 2,628,000 minutes... 157,680,000 seconds since we became students of this school
The one thing I will remember most about us is how slowly but surely we found out who we really were. We may have come into Lakes as young awkward, confused and naive year 9's. But we will not be leaving that way. When each one of us walks out those doors tonight we will be walking towards a much more poised, confident and socially conscious self. I wanna encourage my classmates to always know and stay true to who you are, your individuality is what makes you, you. And you are all amazing.
I believe most people are so caught up in trying to impress other people that they lose what made them special in the first place, you are who you are, and who you are is simply and utterly Amazing, each and every one of you here tonight.
You may have been born into a difficult situation but difficulty did not start with you, remember what Dumbledore has taught us " it matters not what someone is born into, but what they grow up to be, It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities".
Who you are and the direction of your life does not depend on your past, the amount of money you make, your parents, your ability to sing, your mental capacity to learn, your looks, or your athletic ability. Rather, it is our choices, whether large or small, that determines our character, personality, and the satisfaction we derive from this life of ours.

One thing that I have learnt from an early age was 'It is always better with friends!". This includes out 'Teacher Friends', Thank you to all the teachers, your influence and guidance has, and always will be, appreciated. You have helped mould us into the people we are today, instilling within us the will to keep going. I cannot thank you enough.
To Mr Bathan, I speak for the entire 7th form when I say you are simply the best! You do so much for us as year 13 dean, "Bathan for World President!". There are too many heroic figures whom teach at this great institution of education to list so from the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU!!!!!
Our time at school is over, we are now destined for greater things.
When we now look back over the past five years, our achievements seem enormous, but we can achieve even greater things. Let us be joyous about our five years here, and may we reflect on our time spent here fondly. But may we also commit ourselves to ensuring that what we do today does not seem big to us tomorrow, for we can reach new heights, heights from which even the achievements we think are huge, seem small.
Go confidently in the direction of your dreams, live the life that you have imagined for yourself and where you truly wish to go, your feet will take you.
Mountains will fall and seas divide before you if you take in your stride the difficulties of life in this pursuit of excellence. Believe in yourself and in your dreams, because often we lose what we might win, because we doubt the power within.
Thank you Parents, Friends, Teachers, Administrators. Congratulations class of 2010... We made it! Have a wonderful life!
