Proof Golbez is more badass than Sephiroth- He takes a METEOR TO THE FUCKING FACE and walks it off.

I personally resonated with this more than I did Aerith's death. Maybe the dialogue is better, maybe it's knowing he brought this on himself, maybe I just liked Tellah more as a character.

@wav003 There's a few things that, if you look at it, work in favor of this event.

Tellah already cast three spells, which in total would drain his 90mp. On top of not having enough to begin with, he had no magic left to cast Meteor, so all that's left to drain is his life force.

lol i love how tellah casts one of the most powerfull spells in all of FFIV yet after the battle Golbez is still standing like nothing happened

lol also, in the old days, golbez used to cast a lightning spell at cecil, thus throwing him into the wall. In the DS remake he appears to... bitch slap? ... cecil into the wall?

How could the main characters ever believe they could beat golbez if he can completely incapacitate their leader with a wall rushing bitch slap?

yeah, meteo was kinda lame. I like the meteor animation in the psp ffiv collection, although I'm sure you all have this game 3 times already, like I do. sigh.

This is the saddest scene in the whole game, I think. I like how they handled this cut scene in the DS.

@wav003 You can't really take that factor too literally. The 90 MP limit is just a way for him not to be able to cast it, when talking game mechanics. However, plot-wise, Meteor would probably drain the stamina an elderly person doesn't have. That's just my take on the whole matter.
