This video shows an RMC "Modified" Loyal cycle open crank case 2-stroke that runs on regular gasoline. The engine can run in either direction (reversible). It has a hit & miss governor (by ignition), or by locking a screw on the governor, it can be run as a throttler. (The speed is then controlled by moving either the ignition timer lever or choke handle). Original "Loyal cycle" gas engines date to the 1870's through the 1890's.
