  • The best movie from Allen

  • The song is Una Furtiva Lagrima from Act II, Scene 2 of the Italian opera, L'elisir d'amore by Gaetano Donizetti.

  • Oddly enough, the man who said this quote was NOT a famous philosopher, poet, writer, etc....but a baseball player! Lefty Gomez, a Yankee player, said this (Allen, being a hugh baseball fan, turned this quote into something profound, here).

And I agree. As much as we'd like to say we have complete free will, there are so many factors that we have absolutely no control over in our lives. That being said, I'd rather be lucky, too.

  • SPOILER!

When he throws the ring and its bounces of the rail. It's just so... epic.

  • this is one of the best opening monologues by woody allen; probably only second to Annie Hall's opening scene.

  • Yes..... I strongly believe..... a Man controls his own FATE!!

  • Great Music... This is what my ex's mistress send to him few months back!!!

I wonder if she would have said the same thing if he was her own husband!!!

I wish them both luck...... He didn't deserve me!!
