Finally, we have the opportunity to look at the basic process involved to break down, clean and rebuild a break barrel airgun. Today we will look at how to break down and rebuild the Benjamin Trail NP. We will also look at one simple step to safely improve the Crosman triggers.

Warning: Working on airguns is serious business. Do not attempt this without proper training and supervision. Any modification to your airgun will void your warranty. This video is provided to demonstrate the principals of airgun mechanics not as a complete "how to" guide to tearing down and rebuilding your airgun. As with working with any machinery, safety comes first. Do not attempt any of these procedures without proper training and/or supervision.

  • Hi Rick. How well does that quick dremel trigger polishing trick work? Is it as good as installing the popular aftermarket trigger, or maybe halfway between stock and aftermarket? Thanks. Love the videos.

  • @atvkilla1

It makes the pull lighter (less resistance) and much smoother. It is still way too long. The only way to address that is to drop in a replacement trigger.

    Cheers!

  • Hey Rick im planning on buying a bam b28 based on previous questions ive asked you ...so i would like too know is it worth the extra money for the tunning or do you think its the same thing you do with the molly paste in this vid and i have opened springers before so what do you think??? Thanks Rick

  • @717beto

Mike Melick can do a nice job on a tune for you and a B28.. the B28 is a very powerful spriinger.. mistakes can cause injury.. better to let someone like Mike do it.

    cheers

  • hi i was wondering if anyone could tell me if you can take a trail np xl piston and put it in the np trail gun if so e-mail me at wadehogge@yahoo.com. also what is the best trigger upgrade for benjamin trail np and cost thank you levi

  • @ModernMan316

first thing.. don't take airgun advice from the guy at walmart.. your gun is dieseling and you will ruin it putting solvents in the chamber. Follow the RWS Cleaning and maintenance regimen that I posted on the recent Take AIM. That will keep your gun working well.

  • @AirGunWeb im using 7.9 grn crosman premier hollowpoints. Could this also be a problem with me putting wd-40..the guy at walmart says it should protect the reservoir. Thanks

  • @AirGunWeb Well, if you happen to run into any tricks or solutions, I'd love to hear about it, as I'm doing all the improvements I can.

Keep up the good work :)
