A military march composed by Pipe Major J. Riddell to commemorate the battle of Tumbledown Mountain during the Falklands(Malvinas) war. I think this is one of the best marches ever.

  • Great march. As Argentine I write without resentment, But do you see? they composed a march to commemorated the Battle of Tumbledown Mountain, maybe one of the hardest battle in the history of the wars. They know that and that why the march exist. Hail to the all men of the Royal Scots Guards and all the men, the Green Bugs , of the 5th marines Battalion who fought in Tumbledown Mountain.

  • What a great composition! I saw this being played at the Trooping of the Colour by the Scots Guards in the nineties and this song has stuck with me since then. It cannot help but get you up and about, what great memories!

  • 2ND Battalion Scots Guards, the best ever. Against the proud and brave Argentinians, they were - as usual . the best on the ground. Sad it ws disbanded afterwards, but F Company lives on.

  • Long live the Free Falkland Islands.

    Saor Alba!

  • Gran batalla la de Tumbledown con los Infantes de Marina al mando del Subteniente Vazquez defendiendo con honor las posiciones que eran atacadas por los Scots Gds.

In memory to all the soldiers who died in this fierce battle fighting with great courage and determination. R.I.P.

  • I suppose it is a retreat march then ?
