your right they need air to operate, the russians space missions had compressed air for long term missions... they found that very little air is needed for prolonged yet small thrust
i wonder if there could be any thrust from Casimir effect in a vacuum
-
@purplemom07 Surpressed? If that is so then why does this appear to be some sort of an infomercial made by the military? Why does NASA not try to hide the fact that they have experimented with these in the past or at least refrain from publishing thier results publicly? Why does no one seem to be hiding anything that they have done with these? I see evidence that the technology exists but I see any evidence of any attempt to hide it... it is just not in use because it is not particularly usefull

@penceetc Actually in hard vacuum they have been reported not to function at all. Due to the lack of air to ionize. Both mythbusters and NASA have showen this happen in thier tests.

@FarceTheory That I threw a fit suggests I read your original comment in horror, urgently needing to correct your "facts" The truth is I just find people making fools of themselves entertaining. Had U admitted U were wrong in the begining I would have respectfully accepted this....but instead U kept digging a deeper hole, eventually arguing a bizarre theory that I had contridicted myself by suggesting something about powered devices, and flowing gas...which I never mentioned anywhere! LMAO!
-
LOL You’re the one to throw a fit on a simple fact. If I said Deep Space One was a rocket would you throw a fit too. You did bust me out on the dyson never did by one. Assumed it was ion. Anyways take care. PS It’s a FAN!
-
@FarceTheory Are you retarded.....seriously I really want to know...I feel kind of guilty arguing with you....R U a child or something? Anyway...My first comment was very clear...I have no Idea what you think it said, as the "contridiction" U point out has nothing to do with anything I said....I said its unlike a fan because it moves air WITHOUT MOVING PARTS!!!.......
-
@frankensteinmoneymac Congratulations! You contradicted your first comment by stating A fan is a powered device used to create flow within a gas.
-
@FarceTheory OMG!! LMAO@U This is just too easy! You do realize how that thing works right? It has its bladed impeller unit hidden in its base that sucks in air just like a vacuum cleaner....then it forces the air up through an empty chamber & blows it through a small groove in the loop. Helped by the Coanda Effect and other reasons all based on aerodynamic reasons, it then sucks air from inside the hole causing a pretty decent air stream! PLENTY of moving parts, my friend! /watch?v=8he8afjQyd8

@frankensteinmoneymac Look up "Dyson air multiplier"
-
@FarceTheory Wow....you really didnt understand the nature of this thing did you? perhaps you should watch it again...it Ionizes the air around it causing it to levitate WITHOUT any moving parts....quite unlike a fan!
There is a great website by Jean Naudin - France that shows how to make these - I have used color CRT power supplies and made my own power supplies. Appears to ionize air in atmosphere and will fly with polarity reversed - had my students make a lot of these for rapid prototyping assignment. Just look up 'lifters' in Google. Works in vacuum but better with Xenon gas (several of the deep space probes) do to low thrust - less accelerant needed

This is evidence enough of a suppressed technology...
