A time lapse of dismantling and then rebuilding my Yokomo MR4-TC 1/10 scale RC car. I hadn't used it or even looked at it for about a year and a half, it was still covered in dust and dirt from the last time I had used it, so I decided to rebuild it and clean it up.

The rebuilding part of the video was the second attempt at it due to problems in the first one, so some parts are omitted such as rebuilding the shocks, and generally cleaning the components.

Total time taken to rebuild the car, from start to finish was about 3 days. Day 1 was dismantling the car and sorting out all of the pieces into the right 'bags', Day 2 was cleaning everything up and polishing the aluminium and Carbon Fibre, Day 3 was rebuilding it.

Note: I know the bodyshell has HPI stickers on it, that was because when I got that shell, I was using an HPI Pro4, and when I got the Yokomo, I found that the bodyshell holes were in the same position as that on the HPI.

  • looks very diferent from the sd version!!!

    looks nice man!!!

i got the all 3 upgrades for the sd and it looks awesome with the carbon chassis!!!

how much time in real time????

  • Cheers man. As far as I'm aware they are one of the, if not the only manufacturer who did a belt drive and shaft drive on one of their chassis. Good to have the choice.

Dismantling was about an hour, rebuilding was 3 or 4. Refilling the shocks was about half an hour, there was a problem with that bit of video as far as I'm aware which is why it wasn't included.

  • cool, cool!!!

how much did you pay for it???

and where did you buy it???

  • Can't remember how much I paid for it, but it was one of the first ones as the instructions weren't in english.

Bought it from a business run by a couple of people I know, Smart Racing, they don't stock Yokomo any more though.

  • GUau Nice today i rebiult mi LCG Also, is a chassis that I love. Right now I also have a Yokomo BD Masami Editio, who uses in Touring and my idea is to leave the LCG for the collection. Now install a mamba 5700 and wheel drift. This chassis has been my first real race chassis and which I will throw ever.

A greeting from the north of Spain takes good care of your LCG
