These exercise help to remind your brain to keep your body flexible and free from discomfort and pain! Very simple VERY effective exercise when in pain. it works on releasing habitual holding patterns after shock or injury! Try it out, you won't be sorry! This is part 1.

    Would the somatics substitute a warmingup sequence or would you have to do a series of warmingup yogaposes before performing the somatics? Thanks!

  • @PeaceElk Hi, you don't have to do a warm up before the somatics, so you could see them as a warm up to your yoga practice..

  • Hello Esther, thank you very much for these videos. I've been doing the Somatic exercises every morning since the New Year. They have helped me very much. The morning after I did these exercises for the first time my pain levels were cut in 1/2. Nothing short of a miracle. I will continue to do these every morning. Next week I will add your beginning yoga routine after the Somatics. Thanks again!

  • Hi Esther, thank you for all these videos you put up on youtube. I've started doing the somatics everyday as you recommended them to me on facebook for me.

  • I google searched "how to reset your nervous system" and that led me to Somatics, which led me here. WOW!

    After going through a serious illness and tons of worry about my health, I can highly recommend these videos! My nervous tingling in my arms and legs is vanishing and I feel so much better, calm, relaxed and centered.
