  • Wow, I remember cutting this crap together on a Steenbeck back in '94. The only difference is we spliced black film at the very end and edited all the clapboard sounds to sound like gunfire. Someone else in class actually poked holes in the film to recreate gunshots during the robbery.

I can only imagine how much easier this was to do non-linear...

  • I wouldn't edit this linear if you PAID me a million dollars....well, maybe.

  • My god, does every video editing class use this footage?? I had to do a project with this stuff too.

  • Probably! What school? lol

  • so, you made this film 3 years ago set in the 70's? how'd you get the color on the picture to make it look like it's old? and clothing and camera work (zooms in-out, etc).

    anyway, GREAT WORK!

  • This stock footage was given to the whole class and we were asked to cut our own versions. They varied quite a bit.

  • I just finish my edited version.. Did u guys have to do a trailer for it too?

  • yep... I edited this back in 99 on a linear tape deck system at the Art Institute of Dallas. I haven't seen this footage in 11 years. My favorite version is when you show the robbers yelling and running around but everybody continues on about their business as if they're not even there
