  • Love the Petrus method. Friedrich just seemed too daunting to learn. Been stuck in a bit of a rut until now though... watching your videos and trying out little theories has opened up a whole new world of block building loveliness, my times are dropping rapidly and I have you to thank. So thanks :) respect for your lookahead skills too man i'm gonna get that good.

ps You reckon it's worth learning 5+6 index once my newfound skills are consolidated.?

  • @tiersy thanks. and yes, 5+6, also known as COLL, is good to know. I use it for every OH solve and most of my regular solves. but I do not recommend learning from lars' website. I do not have a link but I think that dan cohen has a table for them somewhere.

  • I still cube a little - I feel like I've peaked with the Petrus method, so I've recently switched to Fridrich (early March). I'm still haven't broken my best Petrus average (14.67), but after only two months, my best Fridrich average is already 15.37.

EJLS and MGLS seem really interesting - I'll have to check them out when I have more time.

  • nice. I am still getting faster. my averages of 12 are consistently sub 13 now and the other day I had a 12.77 average of 50 with a 11.65 rolling average of 12. petrus method can still be faster.

  • @siddharthjoshi91 it depends on the scramble. most of the time I find that it's easier to start with a 2x2x2, but there are scrambles make a 3x2x1 the best way to start.

  • @CaptianCrash44

when i solve the cube, i find it easier doing 3*2*1 followed by 3*2*2 rather than 2*2*2 followed by 2*2*3.Which one do you think is better?

  • this is quite unhelpful, its just like "yeah, solve that one, you just place that one there so it sets up these blocks here"... a few moves later and you have solved the 3x2x2 block, have no idea how.

  • are someone else the 10.000 viewer?????

  • Just found this video...very nice for a Fridrich user wanting to get smarter about making X-cross, thanks!

  • You seem professional. My F2L is like 30-40 seconds, really bad. Please teach me to solve it faster!

  • I think you should think through your videos a bit more.

  • I think you're better than Petrus himself.
