FORCED TO PRAY UNDER THREAT OF PRAYER

A city council is forced into allowing not only a prayer before each meeting but a guarantee that the words "in Jesus name" will end each of those prayers.
What was the force behind the change? A retired Navy chaplain who has a very special method he uses to get his way. He threatens those who don't follow what he wants that he will pray for them. These are prayers that you will never hear in a church.

Do you know what an imprecatory prayer is?
Here's an example:

Oh, LORD, let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins to continually shake. Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them. Set thou a wicked man over him: and let Satan stand at his right hand. When he shall be judged, let him be condemned: and let his prayer become sin. I had never heard of an imprecatory prayer, so I looked it up. And sure enough, I found a wealth of information on this type of prayer. I even found several examples of imprecatory prayers from the bible itself. Wow.

I was raised in the church from childhood, and came to Christ better than a couple of decades ago. I have never even heard of the kind of nonsense you describe in this video. No genuine Christian would ever pray such a prayer. If such a fool did exist,..only the one who would take him seriously could be considered an even bigger fool.

Imprecatory Prayer, huh. Sounds like some made up garbage that a petty zealot would pull out of their posterior to justify some nutjob commiting a crime as just a 'vessel of god' or 'agent of righteous indignation' or some other nonsense. It is clearly unconstitutional and a violation of the separation of church and state, but I would go further and say it's a violation of the entire idea behind godliness. If god has a problem with somebody, they don't need your prayer to let them know about it.

And praying negative prayers over someone is wrong. And are speaking of purgatory? If so this what the Priest pray when a person dies as a sinner and they believe God will forgive their sins after they die,and then take them to heaven, false!! untrue. No where in the Holy Bible does it say that. This is why we should study God's word. Jesus said " let no one deceive you"

Luk 6:27 ¶ But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Luk 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. There are many false religion and Imitators of Christians. The best thing for a person to do. Is start praying to God for wisdom and understaing of his word. I cannot be deceived by any false religion because I have study the bible with the help of the Holy Spirit.
